Begin your journey with pickup from Tirana, followed by a scenic drive to Durrës, Albania’s oldest city and former Roman capital. Once there, explore the most important historical landmarks with your local guide.
First, visit the impressive Durrës Amphitheatre, the largest Roman amphitheater in the Balkans, hidden between modern buildings and rich with centuries of history. Continue to King Zog’s Royal Villa, offering panoramic views over the city and Adriatic coast, and learn about Albania’s royal past.
Next, stop at the Great Mosque of Durrës, a symbol of the city’s cultural heritage, before walking to the iconic Venetian Tower, part of the old defensive walls built during Venetian rule.
After the guided sightseeing, enjoy free time along the Adriatic Sea. Relax on the beach, take a swim in summer, or have lunch at one of the seaside restaurants (not included). This is your chance to slow down and experience Durrës like a local.
